I have made 5 attempts to fix this and finally gave up. A word about Sprint: They used to be the best, and they are now the worst. If you call them today, July 15'th 2008, the system will acually tell you to call back later and HANG UP. That'll take at least 3 hours.
They're really useless. I'm turning off my phone today. She said she did and of course, it's still on my bill. A telemarketer from Sprint called me trying to sell something and extend my contract, I laughed so hard, that she actually tried to fix my problems.
I'm not surprised at all. Plan on at least a two-hour call to get something accomplished and then prepare yourself to be utterly crazed with anger when you see that nothing was actually done (several times). The absolute worst. They always say it's fixed but never is.
Things have appeared on my bill for a year that shouldn't be there. You will get through the prompts until you are given a wait-time and then. They got rid of 80 % of their customer service workforce.
So I got a new OEM battery from the store. But because of the crap battery life I suggest you get an adapter (here on Amazon) for a headphone-to-miniUSB.UPDATE: APPARENTLY THE PROBLEM IS WITH USING BLUETOOTH. I did the initiation routine I was told to do by agent (charge, discharge, charge, discharge) and it seemed to have a decent talk time of 3 hours.
Just ok for an extended battery so far, like 3 hours, but when I am supposed to get 3+ hours on the included battery I am very wary. ODD BUT IF I DO NOT SHUTDOWN THE PHONE/RESTART AFTER USING (AND SHUTTING OFF) BLUETOOTH, THE BATTERY RUNS DOWN. We will see how long this lasts. The mp3 bluetooth is decent, BTW (yes I include this as talk time).
OK so it was great at first. Then I got an OEM extended battery and I am trying it out now. GO FIGURE.
Within a few weeks I was down to one hour after a fresh charge. Same story.
Half of the texts i get, are shown that they are from random numbers, even though this number is saved in my contacts with a name. The screen freezes about once every other day.4.
90% of the time this phone is on its charger.5. People say this about every phone, but REALLY, the battery life is amazingly horrible.
I love the look at feel of this phone.but the on-going glitches are frustrating to say the least. Literally half of all texts i send will say SENT, but they will remain in my outbox until i re-send them.3.
I really wish I would have listened to all these poor reviews before I bought this phone. And this is with every razor 2, not just my phone.1.
So if i dont automatically recognize the number, i have to look it up in the contacts just to see who it is.2.
i got this and not only was it unusable even if wasnt broken they sent a defect phone that could not be activated.
I have never been with a different carrier, so I really don't have a basis of comparison, but it could not possible be as bad as Sprint. This phone is fine, but the customer service at Sprint is the worst. I would recomment getting the phone with a different carrier.
